When music comes to an end, there is a sign of CODA. It is the CODA moment for Karuizawa Distillery. According to the record of the Distillery, this single cask distilled in 1970 with limited bottling of 211 bottles would be the final cask of 50 Years Old Karuizawa whisky. It is named “The Last Masterpiece” meaning the original Karuizawa whisky will go down in history.

As a monument bottle of Karuizawa legend, the calligraphy of “The Last Masterpiece” was written by a Japanese calligrapher Souun Takeda. Souun is one of the most famous calligraphers (Kanji artist) in Japan. His artwork is highly praised for its innovative, yet traditional way of expressing the beauty of the Japanese language and spirit.
